Magnus Engineered Equipment (MEE) has been providing cleaning solutions for our industry partners since its founding in the 1950’s. MEE supplies the majority of gun manufacturer’s with cleaning equipment and recently worked with one such customer to solve a challenging barrel cleaning problem. An immersion cleaning system was designed, constructed and tested and the cleanliness results exceeded those delivered by more costly and inefficient pressurized cleaning systems. The system was fully contained and minimized water and energy consumption with filtration and oil coalescence technology. Consistent and repeatable cleaning is achieved while minimizing water and energy usage, and cleaning chemistry usage and disposal.
MEE’s experienced staff of engineers can solve most cleaning challenges and welcomes an opportunity to work with you to solve your cleaning requirement, or modernize an existing cleaning operation to achieve:
- Water conservation
- Energy conservation
- Cleaning chemistry conservation
- Waste minimization
- Elimination of hazardous chemistry
- Improved safety
- Increased throughput
- Consistent and Repeatable cleaning
- Reduced labor requirement
At Magnus Engineered Equipment, our pride in the quality of our equipment is evident when viewing the outside as well as the inside our equipment. Stainless steel tanks receive a “DA” finish on the outside and inside to enhance their appearance. The added effort to impart this finish assists in keeping the equipment looking good throughout it’s anticipated long service life. Putting the same finish inside the tank helps to hide manufacturing weld zones and blemishes which can occur during use, and the finish on the outside gives the equipment a uniform lustre which again hides any scratches or dings which may occur over the years. Magnus Engineered Equipment enjoys a solid reputation for longevity in the cleaning industry, and this added attention to the initial appearance of the equipment keeps it looking good as well as performing good for the anticipated long service life.
Magnus Engineered Equipment is proud to supply cleaning equipment to many automotive manufacturers and their suppliers. A company utilizes MEE’s 6” diameter submersible radial ultrasonic transducer to clean aluminum pistons manufactured for many global automotive brands. The high power density 20 kHz ultrasonics are exceptional for cleaning oil passage and other fine features in a very short time. These transducers are utilized in a modified Mini Tunnel Sonics (MTS) machine, and a video showing the MTS in action can be seen here.
